Prime Minister unveils $252 million National Conservation Plan

Prime Minister Stephen Harper has unveiled a $252 million National Conservation Plan that includes programs to restore degraded wetlands as well as a new national wetland conservation fund valued at $50 million over five years to support wetland restoration projects across Canada.  The fund will also complement the critical habitat securement programs under a renewed federal Natural Areas Conservation Plan.
