Description
The Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation was created in 1996 for projects pursuing at least one of the following objectives:
- conservation or enhancement of biological diversity, fish, fish habitat, wildlife or wildlife habitat
- acquisition and management of lands for the conservation or enhancement of a fish or wildlife population and their surrounding habitat
- increased understanding, knowledge and awareness of fish or wildlife and their habitat, or of the Trust Fund, through promotions, education or other programs
- provincial government agencies
- First Nations
- local governments
- community and conservation groups
- universities, colleges, and
- individuals
