A guide for practitioners responsible for preparing Cumulative Effects Assessments as part of a submission to appropriate regulatory bodies for project review. The guide provides practitioners with: an overview and clarification of current understanding about practices of cumulative effects assessment (CEA); suggestions on practical approaches to completing CEAs that includes most statutory requirements and best professional practices; and, case studies of approaches used by project proponents for their CEA's. The guide looks at assessment fundamentals, key tasks, applications of the assessment framework, and preparation and completion of a CEA.
