Durham Region Coastal Wetland Monitoring Project
Description
The Durham Region Coastal Wetland Monitoring Project is designed as a long-term program assessing the health of 15 wetlands along the north shore of Lake Ontario in Durham Region (see map below). In order to standardize the collection of biological and physical data among the partner organizations, a Methodology Handbook was developed by Environment Canada and the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority and field work began in the spring of 2002.
