Description
The Ducks Unlimited Conservation Centre in Fredericton, N.B. plays a crucial role in educating people of all ages about the values of wetlands to wildlife and society. The Centre provides an exciting, educational environment for the public as they learn how important it is to conserve New Brunswick’s wetlands for future generations to enjoy. When you visit the Conservation Centre, take some time to enjoy the view of the St. John River from the back deck or the outdoor classroom, then come inside and see the beautiful local wood used throughout the building. Unique wood includes elm flooring (from trees that were felled due to Dutch Elm disease) donated by the City of Fredericton and the City of Windsor, N.S. Bird’s Eye Maple, confiscated by the Province of New Brunswick, trims areas around the main lobby and the front door.
