Description

The Strategy is part of the Forest Practices Code of British Columbia. It describes best forestry and ranching management practices (BMP) that must be followed in "wildlife habitat areas". These are designated habitats for a particular species or plant community. This site provides information on the:

  • Strategy
  • species and plant communities that make up the strategy
  • areas proposed and approved as wildlife habitat areas
  • training initiatives
  • implementation advice
This site will help foresters adhere to the Forest Practices Code of British Columbia. The training section will help site users to understand the Strategy, what the Strategy accomplishes and how to use the Strategy in day-to-day operations.
