Description

The Fort Whyte Centre in Winnipeg has something for everyone - indoors or out! The Alloway Reception Centre features the Buffalo Stone Cafe for deliciouse light meals, snacks and refreshments, and the Nature Shop for that special gift. The Interpretive Centre is home to the Aquarium of the Prairies, the newly renovated Waterfowl Viewing Room and many other fascinating exhibits. Head outside to explore the 400 acres of forest, wetland and prairie habitat. Must see features include a 70-acre, 40 head Bison Prairies exhibit, hiking trails with a bison viewing mound, family treehouse, bird feeding station, floating boardwalks, and waterfowl in their native pond habitats. Year-round activities include fishing and hiking. Winter activities include snowshoeing, skating and a super toboggan slide.
