Description

PlantWatch is a nature monitoring program that engages Canadian citizens in reporting bloom times of spring flowers as an indicator of climate change in Canada. The Canadian Nature Federation and Environment Canada's Ecological Monitoring and Assessment Network Coordinating Office have launched Plant Watch, the latest addition to the popular NatureWatch series which includes FrogWatch, WormWatch and IceWatch. PlantWatch species include easily identified flowers such as lilac, trillium, wild strawberry and dandelion.
