Wings over Water: Canada's Waterbird Conservation Plan
LINK: http://publications.gc.ca/collections/collection_2014/ec/CW66-219-2003-eng.pdf
Description
Wings Over Water (WOW) outlines the steps needed to conserve a broad array of species of seabirds, inland colonial waterbirds, marshbirds and other water-related species.
The four goals of WOW address population and habitat conservation, information exchange, and coordinated action. These have been developed in response to needs arising from the factors that have been found to be having the greatest effects on waterbird populations, such as habitat change, oil spills and discharges, and fisheries bycatch and competition. WOW also provides a preliminary of those species where monitoring, research and conservation should be a national priority.
