Description
This Act implements the Cananda-US Convention for the protection of migratory birds. Together with its regulations, the Act:
- authorizes the establishment, control and management of Migratory Bird Sanctuaries for nationally significant habitat
- prohibits activities in sanctuaries that may be harmful to birds, eggs, nests or habitat of migratory birds
- prohibits the deposition of any substance harmful to migratory birds in any waters or any area frequented by migratory birds
