Description

The Association for State Wetland Managers (ASWM) is an American, non-profit, membership-based organization that promotes the protection and restoration of wetland resources and related ecological systems (i.e. lakes and estuaries). The goal of the ASWM is to help public and private wetland decision-makers apply the best possible scientific information and techniques in wetland management activities. The ASWM promotes the exchange of “applied science” through annual meetings, workshops, seminars, newsletters, and a wide range of excellent publications. The Association's Institute for Wetland Science and Public Policy conducts research and publishes guidebooks, pamphlets, books, collections of papers and edited proceedings from symposia and workshops. These are available to all interested individuals and organizations. The ASWM also publishes a biannual sourcebook of American wetland professionals, a quarterly Newsletter (Wetland News), and hosts workshops and symposia across the United States each year.
