Description

The North American Bird Conservation Initiative, or NABCI, aims to ensure that populations and habitats of North America's birds are protected, restored and enhanced through coordinated efforts at international, national, regional and local levels guided by sound science and effective management. It is designed to increase the effectiveness of existing and new initiatives through:

  • Effective coordination,
  • Building on existing regional partnerships, such as the Joint Ventures, and
  • Fostering greater cooperation among the nations and the peoples of the continent.
