Local Environment Website of the Cree First Nations of Eastern James Bay and Cree Regional Authority




The Local Environment Resource Website is a pilot resource website designed to facilitate the work of the Local Environment Administrators (LEAs) in the Cree Communities of the James Bay Territory. The website is designed to provide information about the environmental management functions that are key to the roles LEAs play in their communities. Presently, the pilot website includes two environmental management functions:

  • Drinking Water Monitoring
  • Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA)
