Includes information on: erosion control and flooding; using native plants for shoreline landscaping; septic systems, wells and water quality; gardening, fertilizers and hobby farms; habitat restoration, wildlife and fishing; building design, construction and landscaping; environment-friendly household products; docks, boating and beaches; shoreline wetlands. Regional editions of the tip-oriented handbook are available for British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan/Manitoba and Ontario. Discussions are underway to produce other editions to the east and south.
